Summer with Garden Vitamins at EcoCostel
Late summer and early autumn are the most generous months in the EcoCostel garden. The land comes alive with color, flavor, and the abundance of fruits and nuts that ripen one after another. This natural cycle not only fills the table with seasonal delights but also provides a precious store of vitamins and energy for the colder months ahead.
A Symphony of Fruits and Nuts
In August and September, the garden transforms into a living pantry. Figs soften in the sun, apples grow sweet and crisp, grapes swell with juice, and red bright dogwood berries and brown bright jujube berries add their tangy touch. At the same time, hazelnuts and Greek walnuts fall into baskets, bringing their earthy richness. Each harvest follows its own rhythm, ensuring that something fresh is always ready to enjoy.
Preserving Nature’s Wealth
The beauty of this season is not only in the fresh taste but also in the possibility of preservation. Dehydrated fruits and carefully stored nuts become treasures for winter, holding within them the memory of warm sun and fertile soil. In the kitchen, berries turn into fragrant jams, jars filled with deep colors and sweetness that will brighten winter mornings.
Nut Milk and Fresh Juices
The garden also offers inspiration for creative and healthy recipes. Nuts are blended into nourishing milk, smooth and full of natural energy. Grapes, collected twice a week, are pressed into pure juice. For two full months, about six liters of fresh grape juice are made regularly, a true gift of the vine. This natural drink is not only delicious but also supports detox and wellness, making it both a pleasure and a remedy.
The Richness of the Season
This time of year is more than harvest—it is a celebration of life and resilience. Each fruit and nut is filled with vitamins, minerals, and vitality. By eating them fresh, saving them for winter, or transforming them into juices and jams, the EcoCostel garden shows how abundance can be used wisely and sustainably.
The end of summer and beginning of autumn is, without doubt, the richest part of the year. It connects the joy of daily harvest with the foresight of preparing for colder days. In this cycle, the garden gives not just food, but also inspiration for a life lived closer to nature.
